Why would anyone want to give up a comfortable life, stable job, and the benefits of staying in one place?  Though I have been blessed with a nice place to live, great friends, and a job I truly enjoy, I'm always thinking about and planning my next great adventure.  A time to get out on the road, to let go of my belongings and live with less.  A time to more wholeheartedly put my trust in the Lord and the plans He has for the trip and my life.  When you're out on the road, whether for an overnighter or a weeklong trip, it opens you up to so many new experiences and people you wouldn't have encountered had you stayed at home watching YouTube and thinking about the kind of person you'd like to be someday.  When you're away from home and comfort, you're vulnerable and a little scared.  It forces you to trust deeper, knowing that God will be with you no matter what and that He has amazing plans for your life.
